Buying/Operating Your Own Starlab
Your school or district has made a big commitment when you've purchased your own
Starlab. Of course the initial investment was substantial, but the ongoing training that must
occur is extremely important.
If you wish to purchase a Starlab system, I would be glad to advise you or point you in the
right direction -- I do not sell Starlabs. The contact person in the Northwest is:
John Gallagher
520 South Francis
Port Angeles, WA 98362
Phone: 360-452-7764
E-mail: jgalla@tenforward.com
Or you can contact the home office:
Jane Sadler, President
Learning Technologies, Inc.
40 Cameron Avenue
Somerville, MA 02144
Phone: 800-537-8703 or 617-628-1459
Fax: 617-628-8606
E-mail: starlab@starlab.com
When you first purchase your new Starlab, Mr. Gallagher will come and spend a day with you
(or your team) teaching you how to set up and store your equipment. He can also give you lots
of tips for using the Starlab with different age group kids. He's been doing it for quite a long
time. However, you may wish to expand your Starlab presenters group because of retirements,
moving, or the need to have more users. Now you're ready to call me.
I will teach new and refresh returning teachers how to set up and take down/store the
equipment. I will give you tips on presenting and orienting your students for a unit in astronomy.
