The Washington state WASL Science Test will be given to 5th, 8th, and 10th grade students.            EALR's  for Earth and Space Systems include Components and Patterns of Earth Systems, Interactions in the Solar System and Beyond (Universe), and applications in Careers and Occupations Using Science, Mathematics, and Technology. 

The Fifth Grade program introduces the Earth, Moon, Sun and other components of our solar system and a general introduction to the night sky and constellations.

The Eighth Grade program details the solar system to include comets, asteroids, other planets and their moons.  The presentation will also include a comparison of distances and sizes of objects in the solar system, discussion of moon phases, solar and lunar eclipses, and an introduction to the night sky.  

The Tenth Grade program details the the night sky, constellations, star formation, interstellar/galactic distances, types of galaxies,  mathematical and technical information/calculations/occupations.
